I am wondering if there are othe members out there who can help me. I have been listing comics on the site to sell for about the past few weeks. They are all raw, with me grading them as best I can, and are mostly Marve and DC's, from the early 70's to the early 90's. As I write this, i have uploaded 265 issues to sell, of varying condition ( a lot of 9.2's). I am finding that the main page is not changing as it used to, at least for me; it seems to me it used to update intantaneously. I would list the comic, and check the main page, and it would be right there. I am wondering if anyone else is noticeing this and, if so, could they explain it to me. I have about 1500-2000 comiics in all, and it is very time consuming to list them; I would at least like to know if anybody is seeing them.

Pleas check out my comics, and if you have any input on how the listing system works, i would really appreciate it.

Thanks

I've noticed the same thing. I also notice there used to be arrows to the right or left of the most recently posted issues so you can scroll through. Those no longer show up.

I was wondering if it was just me. Are you getting any sales? I have had no responses for months.

As I've said before, what are you doing to drive traffic to your sales? If you have 200 books for sale on a site that has 1.2 million books, how will people notice? Look at Facebook groups that are in your target market. Tell friends who are comic book fans. Give a link to your auctions.

Nothing yet. I'm just putting things up for sale as I organize them. Promotion will come once I know what I have. I have nearly 5,000 books listed here, which I know is not a lot, but it's also not nothing.
Friends who are comic book fans? Where do you get those?

Links to auctions: I've tried to connect my eBay store to this site, but it seems to have not worked. Does it only import auctions? I don't do auctions.

As a buyer, I tried two different sellers with no response. I assumed the accounts were no longer active or part time sellers who didnt check site often,

I absolutely understand how that can be a turn off. I'm assuming most people who would use a site like this to sell are hobbyists more than retailers/resellers. Before I started trying to sell my inventory here I had experience trying to sell here on behalf of another business. There wasn't a lot of success for that business. However, I use this site as a resource everyday for my business, so I determined it would be foolish of me to not cross post my items, even if I've only had the aforementioned two sales in nearly a year. In addition to that, using CPG as a marketplace is not the only function for entering the items I have for sale. I'm cataloging my inventory so that I can put together runs of lower value issues to sell as lots. This site has many benefits.

You can usually tell if you are going to get a response, by first checking to see when the seller was last on (community - members - search) If they haven't been on for quite a while, you might want to skip them. smile

That's good information to have. What does it mean when there isn't a date they've last been on?
