Just want to inform folks of some big changes at Walkin' Willie's Comix!
Up until yesterday (3/29/2025), we had three discounts:
1. Automatic 15% off of three (3) or more items.
2. Newsletter subscribers get 17% off of five (5) or more items
3. Customers with an order history of ten (10) or more items get 20% off of five (5) or more items.
The three (3) item automatic discount stays the same but the newsletter subscriber discount has been increased to 18% off for five (5) or more items and the ten (10) or more items in one's order history has been increased to 22% off for five (5) or more items.
Secondly, we are partnered with Unknown Comics to sell their items on our site. You may understandably ask how in the heck we can compete with Unknown Comics price-wise since they have a myriad of discounts. Good question and the answer is that we cannot compete directly with Unknown Comics to sell their merchandise. But hold on here, the discounts above apply to ALL merchandise on our site, not just the graded books we have in our own inventory. So a customer could buy one graded book and a couple of low cost Unknown Comics' books and score the 15% automatic discount on three (3) or more items. Even though Unknown Comics charges shipping on their part of an order, the math still works for the customer. Qualify for one of the higher percentage discounts and you can score a pretty darn good deal. There are a lot of $3.00 exclusives and $6.00 virgin exclusives from Unknown Comics so some really great books can be had very inexpensively.
Third, we have a new collection called Price Updated. We'll explain... When we have two identical books, we will put one up on our website and one up on eBay. When the duplicate book sells on eBay, we will update the price for the one we have on the website to match the eBay sold price. Close to 100% of the time, that will be a price decrease on the site because we decrease the price of our eBay listings 1% per day until sold after the book has been up for five (5) days. We are updating the price of books almost every day so checkout that Price Updated collection - use one of the above discounts and you can get a really good deal! By the way, the discounts do not combine - only one of the three discounts can be used for any order. You have to use a coupon which we send to you for the newsletter and 10 item order history discounts - and those discounts overrides the automatic discount.
Finally, our inventory has almost completely turned over. We are submitting one to two 25 book orders a month with CGC and expect to do that from now on - the inventory is going to change... a lot.
