are there key icons for key issues?

if you mean for search results, yes, there's a gold/yellow key-shaped icon next to those issues. on the single issue listings it also says 'key issue' in text above the Basic Information. at least on the website, no idea what the app shows. do a search for Amazing Spider-Man and click on the 1963-2012 series. on the series listings, there's also a check box to 'show only keys' (it has a lot). if you mean in your boxes, I don't know.
