So I noticed that my submissions for the cover artists got noped on this one (other than Mattia De Iulis, the penciller).
Here is the credits page showing that Chris Samnee and Mat Lopes are also credited on that cover.

I think I yupped it after doing some research to see those 2 are credited for cover art, but not sure, I may have just ignored it. so if you submit it again I'll yup it if it lasts long enough...big creators list to verify at the moment, takes time and feeling like pawing thru it.

My degree may be able to help here as I'm not sure they collaborated on the same cover. Looking at the credits, in two instances they properly use an "&" to link two artists on the same cover. I understand their use of the comma vs semicolon suggests a grouped list, however, the "&" still zaps that theory as the & takes grouping precedence. Samnee confirmed also has a collaborative cover with Lopez as the colorist. You can't have the same grouped list mean one thing for one cover and another for a different cover. We know DeIluis didn't collaborate on the Samnee/Lopez cover.

CGC Census also lists DeIulis on their own for this issue.

All that grammatical theory leads me to believe the editors made an oopsie and missed that comma needing to be a semicolon.

Of course, if you have any else that says the trio worked on the cover, please let me know

Ooooh, I believe you are right sir. I don't recall seeing that Samnee cover. I'm sure it was there. Heck, I may have even entered the cover artists.
Wouldn't be the first time DC messed up their credits page.
Thanks for the deduction! And for entering and changing all the odd things that we find :p

so after checking the other covers, the problem is the way DC listed the credits, and listed ALL the cover artists for all the variants, right? so if they did that on every variant, then it does make it look like they all, or some wrong ones, worked on all/each of the covers, which is wrong of course. is this something DC has been doing with the credits page lately? wrongly placed semi-colons or not, they shouldn't say X & Y are cover artists on an issue that they're not part of. if this is how they're doing it now, I expect a lot more submission mistakes.

I feel like they've been pretty good. Pretty sure this was just an editing mistake. Funny thing is, if you look closely at the image, Samnee and Lopes have thicker outlines around their names. I wonder if it was an after the fact edit, like they weren't originally going to do a variant?
