Have small assortment, Gold Key comic books, circa 1970s. Want to upload. Can't find comics or publisher to start with. Still have no idea how to upload cover scans either. (have 118 DC comics uploaded but without my cover scans!)
All help appreciated. This is all new to me.upset Thank you in advance.

Hi,
there's various how to pages, and the videos. CPG's youtube videos are here (listed under the About link at top of the site page): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3eOHtGDGIs0GGohUDuypf3TlQM2aupdo
Gold Key list is here: https://comicspriceguide.com/publishers/gold-key
The correct comic titles are found inside the comic with the publishing info. that may differ from what's on the cover, and CPG goes by the indicia inside.
you have to be a paying member to upload your own pics.
see my extensive search tips in this thread, 4th post down: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=12110
here's instructions from another member about adding pics, from 2018, not sure if it's still 100% valid, but probably (I'm not a paying member, so haven't fooled with adding pics to a collection):

After you've entered issues into your collection, the process to upload your own images is pretty simple:
Click 'My Comic Collection' using the toolbar on the right side.
  • Navigate through 'Publisher' to find the correct publisher and title.
  • Select the correct title and you'll see a list of all issues you own of that title. (remember that you can own multiple copies of an issue which is handy if you have copies in different conditions)
  • Click the issue number of the specific issue you have a scan or pic you wish to upload.
  • Select the 'My Collection' tab, if it's not already displayed, and you will see a list of the copies you own of that particular issue
  • To the right you should see a small icon of a green upwards facing arrow, click that to bring up the upload dialogue window.
  • Find your image to upload and submit.
that oughta get most of what you need, have fun...

Thank you for your response. I used the quoted instructions to add comics and successfully added by DC collection. But the way to add personal scans of the comics has apparently changed. None of those I listed have my personal scan. I used your link and got to Gold Key Western, unfortunately it has an extremely limited library, less than 200 issues for each title, and I am unable to add my collection manually, let alone add a scan.

missed seeing this reply. CPG should have a pretty good library of GK and Western, so what issues of what titles can't you find? Since I'm not a paying member, I haven't done the upload-my-own-scan thing, but plenty of other people have, so maybe one of them will chime in with newer instructions. did you try the youtube videos for that?

Actually, I finally found a place where I could tap into the GK/Western published editions, added my own to my collection, and also managed to add a few scans. My original scans were not accepted as too big and I found I could rescan them as jpg and they would be accepted. Thank you for your response.

I often re-size my scans with photo editor program to get them under 1 Meg. Anything bigger you really are just not adding a lot of value for the amount of memory used. Memory size = dollars.
