I uploaded a scan of my cover for Spider-Man #288, but when I place the item for sale the stock cover shows on the sale even after I switch the image to my scan prior to posting the comic for sale. Am I missing a step after uploading my scan?

You can tell if the cover scan was uploaded by going to the specific issue and then clicking on "my collection". If you've uploaded a scan there will be two pictures, the stock one and the one you uploaded. If that scan is on the page then there is only one other possible problem, a setting issue.
To fix a settings issue
Click on your user name in the upper right corner and then Account Settings. On this page, there are several tabs, choose the "settings" tab. Near the bottom is an option to "always use my cover scans for sales instead of stock cover scans" Click that and you should be good.
