It'd be nice if you gave me credit for adding all the information and cover photos Ive added to the database.
Has anyone else added tons of info and photos of books and not had any notification?

Not sure what sort of recognition you're expecting? Your member rank has increased to level 4 because of what you've contributed.
https://comicspriceguide.com/member-ranks/ "The world of comic books is massive, and while the staff at CPG does their best to keep up with all the latest trends and reviews, we rely on our amazing members and fans to help us maintain the most accurate collection of comics and comic values in the world. Our member ranking system is our method of tracking and rewarding our most active, trustworthy, and helpful members."
I guess I add information for a different reason than you. I add to the site because it makes it more complete, a better resource for other collectors.

I added a couple thousand of cover scans years ago. They used to show my user name with them, but not sure if they do now on the site. I wasn't doing it for recognition though.

see this thread: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=12862& I don't know what kind of 'notification' you think you should be getting tho. All that happens is your member rank increases. I recently got to 8, which took a while, and I didn't get any special notifications or money or awards or kudos, and didn't expect any. You get, or should get, your name in the 'people who contributed to this page/comic' pane on the comic's listing, so that's about all the recognition you can expect.

I too recently got a bump to 7 and it took well over a year of contributing.

I really don't care if they put my photo on the page or not. That's not what Im getting at. But if you do do the work for them. They should at least add the books. I've added plenty of information on books and cover scans plus I pay for the service. The least they can do is add the books.. It's like they pick and choose what they wanna add. I've added multiple covers and info for plenty of books that they just haven't added, even tho the information was there.

that's a completely different thing than your original post! make up your mind. it takes them time to do the backlog of submitted info. sometimes the info gets lost or doesn't go thru. if you have a list, contact an admin directly and let them know what's missing and how long ago it was submitted. or stop submitting and let it go.

I quit submitting missing items because the delay was too long before they showed up. The stuff I have is often so obscure that most people won't care if it's missing anyway.

Here are some details that you may find important. (I find them critical to this discussion)
1. On average we add 3000 books per month to the database 2. On average we make hundreds of price changes for raw books each month. (even more if you count graded that aren't shown on the recent value change page) 3. On average we answer hundreds of customers each month 4. We offer a free app and free use of our site to thousands of collectors. 5. Since we have such a large database we require a programmer to keep your data safe and running properly.
If you are a paying member you pay $1 per week for this service. I understand that you want your submissions approved but there is limited staff and budget. For $1 you are getting a steal.
Please compare us with a $7.99 new comic Or with CGC cheapest grading cost of $20 plus a membership fee ranging from $25 to 300. Or with Ebay's ridiculous 10% fees on everything you sell. Or with other "guides" that flood you with ads and interfere with your experience.
We are the best value in the comic book industry.
