Back in the day, Earl had started a bunch of threads about Who has the Biggest Collection and there were posts about many different comic publishers: Marvel, DC, Topps, Crossgen, etc. Is there anyway to find these old threads? Or any interest in starting them back up? I know it was always fun to see who was making progress on full sets, especially with the defunct companies.

That's been a minute. I think the old forums died 4 or 5 years ago so there isn't anything left of them.
Ruk does still have the biggest collection post going.
I just started the longest run post.

You're welcome to create anything else that you remember or what to see.

Yeah I had a feeling that have been lost to the abyss. I just might start these back up again.
Thanks!

I also enjoyed Earl’s thread back in the day. Earl did a lot of things for the site that was beneficial for us. He did a bunch of scans of books and I remember the site kept count of scans people did for site for all to see and he had over 1,000 done, maybe way more. Think Coffeeman had the most scans done.
One thing Earl did if I remember right was he collected all books published in his birth year. I thought that was a great idea. Made me look at my birth month, a year is too crazy. Earl is or was a top notch collector.

I emailed Earl about a month ago to see how he was doing. This is what he said

"I was a very active admin from 2003 until 2013 and then a less frequent contributor until about 2016. I have not done anything on the site for about 4 years so feel free to remove me as an admin. I enjoyed my years contributing but I don't think it's something I am likely to get back to anytime soon. I wish you all the best as you continue to grow the site."

We gave him a lifetime Gold membership for his years of service and made sure the door was left open for this wonderful human.

The scans are still on the site on the right side of this page

Cool. I didn't know that my stats were still around. Not as high as some of the others, but still cool.

Coffeeman isn't listed anymore -- I suspect because he's at another site now.
