When we complete a missing issue or incorrect data request, we move the thread here to organize the boards and let people know the book is available.

I have a Gen 13 #2, dated May with a cover price of $2.50. It apparently has a variant cover, that I've only seen on a few websites and isn't listed in this database. It is listed at comics.org: https://www.comics.org/issue/274260/

I have the same issue of Gen 13. It's a flip cover. The CPG power-that-be haven't classified flip covers as variants. It would be nice to give credit to the flip cover artists though.

flip covers aren't variants, it's the same issue. CPG doesn't show both covers, so they may not pick the one you're looking at (do people not turn them over to see the other cover lately?) but they have enough to keep track of without adding all the flip cover covers too. auction sellers that may list them as a variant cover are just keyword spamming to get search hits.

Thanks, that makes sense. I didn't think to turn it over, it's in plastic with a backing board, so can't see the back.

A couple of things 1. I totally understand the confusion in finding this book if you're looking at the opposite cover. So I did a little editing to the picture to show both covers in a single image. If you have other flip covers that you want this done for, I'll happily change the cover images. It clarifies things and improves the site. win-win
2. Both cover artists can be credited if they were done by different people. We don't favor one over the other.
3. As Collectibleshop mentioned, it isn't a variant because it's the same book Ron

thanks Ron, good to know for future posters. There's a lot of flip cover comics, so figured that would take too much time to add along with all the regular stuff and newsstand cover work etc.. 1988 Marvel Comics Presents has 175 issues alone. I thought maybe comics.org would show both, but they don't either, but they may show different flip covers than CPG does, so possibly pics could be scarfed there. more fun for you guys...
