I am having a hard time determining the difference between the Chromium Foil cover and the Embossed VVSS Edition. Current scans doesn't really provide a good way of knowing.
Thanks

I have a copy of Rai and the Future Force and not only is it signed, but it has a stamp, like a notary seal. I tried to point to it.

Donald, that's cool, but what does this have to do with my question? Ben

Hi Ben, I was just stating that the VVSS ( at least mine was) had an embossment and was signed. I was under the impression that all VVSS (including the Turok) had the embossment and were signed. Apologies if that is not the case.
I did look at an ebay auction for a CGC VVSS Turok and they state (per CGC) that the embossment is on the back cover for that particular issue.

In order to be complete as a VVSS versions, it should have a little sheet saying it's a VVSS version. edited by Defiant1 on 7/5/2020

Though signed editions of comic books are actually quite common, the VVSS program included official Valiant-issued certificates and book-embossing, which separate the VVSS books from other Valiant signed books on the current secondary market.
You can read all about them here: http://www.valiantarchive.com/valiant/vcvss.php

Donald, thanks for the info, I was confused by your response, didn't know there were others. Sorry if I came across as rude. And as it is, mine is just the regular version Defiant. I read the article and that really cleared things up.
Thanks all
Ben

I think there is an early one (with bloodshot maybe?) that didn't have the embossed stamp, but most do.
