I've had this reprint of CA 100 for years but Caps face is blacked out. I used to think some brat had damaged it but now I've seen several with the exact same marking. This photo was pulled from a web search. Question, should this be considered a variant cover?

It's a 'known' printing ink error, so not a variant. the 1 in your pic is worse than the others I saw, and could have been 'enhanced' by some kid, but likely just a really bad error one that got thru. amazing how it got placed right on Cap's face though.
