ok I am new to the comic book selling world- what is raw vs graded when I add to my collection?

Raw is a Normal comic you buy from someone. Graded Comics have been sent to 1 of 3 places that do grading, and they have Proffessionals grade your comic and encase it in Plastic, With the Grade they give it. It costs money to do that, But lets buyers know that what they are buying is true grade, and if are high grade, Triples the value.
