Hi, Been thinking of selling off my books 25 years old plus. But even though they were bagged I assume due to humidity, Many of my late 80's/90's book have a rippled effect on the top or bottom of the books. How does this effect the price and how does it effect grading? I do not want misrepresent book quality when selling. Thank You edited by papazud on 10/28/2019 edited by papazud on 10/28/2019

It's impossible to grade something with a generic description but in general, that would definitely lower the grade and value. Water damage (even with humidity) is a big deal.
If the book is a high dollar book, I'd suggest having someone press it. There is a cost associated with pressing but a skilled presser can fix some water damage. As long as it's a wavy or rippled texture and not stained with water. Ron
