Is it E-Bay other pricing sites,Overstreet or something else?

Case in point a book that was/is worth $3 for whatever reason MAYBE a movie or tv tie in is now going for $40-50 or more and the books listed here are going for the $3 price but some of these people are putting some crazy offers on them is this the market then?

I think the offer page should go away because it starts E-bay like bidding wars which really suck....Whaaaaa?

We set prices based on the market. Overstreet is outdated by the time it's published so we certainly don't use that! The market changes quickly based on speculation. This is definitely the way the market operates now.

The offer page encourages the true value of a book, which is what we like to see. I've seen you get some great deals here on the site, don't let one or two that got away get you down.

You must be new. The day they announced the last Walking Dead issue, it was $30 on eBay before some stores even opened their doors on Wednesday. You have to remember, some stores get their books on Monday and in the time it takes someone to read a book, the spoilers are out there and if it's something big or perceived as big, people will jump on that as fast as they can hit the send button on Facebook. Just the other day something about Iron Man 2020 and Arno Stark was announced. The first appearance in Machine Man (LS) is selling for about $20 on eBay. My LCS had the whole set bundled for $5 sitting in a long box on the salesfloor for the last 20 years and not a single person was interested.

BTW CPG update your Machine Man listings. LOL

OK with that being the case With Arno Stark where did this info come from? Is he going to be in a movie? And why are alot of the old Moon Knight comics going thru the roof? I know the TV show but that's not even out yet...Where is the info coming from?

There is NO info here on why certain books are going up just "rumors" and "maybe" tv,movie etc.

When an announcement is released about a new show or movie prices go up. It's not when a show is released, it's when it's announced. As I've said several times, we don't dictate the market, we only report on it.

I agree with admin post - comics do jump quickly based on movie announcements or some other event.

On Monday Sep 30 Spider-Girl #59 was a $3 comics. Tuesday I sold on CPG for $7 - and this was a good sales price on eBay on Monday. Sep 30th. On Wednesday this comic was $49. REASON - Benjy Parker was joining the Spider-Verse.

Welcome to the crazy! Enjoy!

What are the odds of that book STAYING that price and where in the media is Benji Parker? A New comic series? An animated movie? etc?

I don't get it crap like this is going thru the roof but books like Flash rebirth #29 & 30 with the first appearance of Bloodwork are $2-3 and he's the big bad for season 6 of the flash....go figure that's actually happening and nothing...WOW!
