HI, I am very new to comics but I have received some golden age comics from my grandma. These are my very first comics and I can't find anywhere if my Canadian Edition is worth the same and the American. Any help would be appreciated. And would I be able to post a picture somewhere to see the estimated grading. I don't know much about grading besides the few things I have read online but they seem to be a 8 or 9 at least. Thanks, Brandon

Hey Bigelk,
You can use CPG's database to catalog and price your newly acquired collection. Depending on the comic and the issue, there may or may not be a difference between Canadian and American edition.
YES! You can attach pictures to get opinions on what grade your comics might be.
Good luck!

Thank you the other day I did use the site and set them at 8 for a grading although I don't know the actual grading. And found out that they are worth about $120 for the American. I will try on my laptop to post photos. When I get home.

Hey Bigelk,

The pictures look great, but...
To get a better idea of condition, you'll have to take them out of the bag to reduce the glare.
A large part of grading are creases, tears, staining, folds, etc. Most damage occurs on the spine or corners. You may want to zoom in and take a closer picture of any damages.
Otherwise, the comics look to be in fantastic condition for their age!

I am not sure about now but it used to be that these older Canadian editions used to be half or less of the American copies. I don't know about the Dells but books published by other publishers usually were printed and distributed by Canadian publishers who had bought plates from the US publisher. Sometimes the content of Canadian edition were different than the same issue number in the US. This may be only with DC books but I don't know.

Those are some great looking books Brandon! One of those books appears to have rusting with some rust migrating to the paper. That would drop the grade on that book. Stains of any kind are grade killers.

Sorry I only had time for one book. This is the Popeye #14 and is probably the worst condition book I have. https://plus.google.com/116665913292814327788/posts/PoPhurfkJfF?hl=en&pid=6251239545399727474&oid=116665913292814327788

Nice set and also very nice shape. I think the USA produced comics and sold them in Canada and they are all the same. Now they are a few Canadian comics that was sold in the USA. I would defiantly send them to CGC for official grading. I would not suggest a grade because I cant hold them and look at it directly.

Canadian EC Comics published by Superior Comics used to be scorned and frowned upon. They sold for much less than the American version. Price guides and checklists were incomplete. People didn't even know what existed. To some degree they (me included) still don't know.

The comics are so rare now, that just a small number of collectors have spiked interest in them and high grade copies could exceed the price of the American versions in comparable condition.
