The one common problem I am having is where the Variant listed does not describe, effectively, "how to identify" the variant. In the majority of the cases, the Variant's are widely different and can be easily differentiated. But in most of my cases, they can not; for instance, https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/1963/5A/pluumu and https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/1963/5/sjwxo
There are several other cases, and the description does not clearly assist in the identification of the variant. Simply stating "Ashcan Hero Premier No. 6" without some further description on how to identify the variant will lead to nefarious entities assuming the higher priced version and the ignorant buyer not having any real tools available to assist in the validation of the variant.
Are there any tools available to assist in the identification of variants?

We try to add in descriptors to help people with variants. They are so prolific that it's difficult. Here are some things that we've done.
1. Store variants now have abbreviations tied to each number. Like this book https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/magic-order-the/1-PCCS/pkrwltt - Port City Comic Exclusive
2. When we add new variants we always put comments. Some of the old issues don't have this but all the new ones do. Like this book https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/magic-order-the/1-C2E2/pktumvx - C2E2 variant but with additional notes
3. Each new variant has the cover artist and other creators added to help differentiate books.
Basically, the entire site is an effort to help identify books. Sometimes there are things we need to add or things which our users need to add but we are getting there.
