In the next few years, I am going to be running into a lack of storage space for my comics. I currently have about a hundred and forty short and long boxes full of comics. I will probably sell some of my books but not enough to get rid of more that four or five short boxes.
Based on this, I am thinking of switching over from hard copies (single issues and TPBs) to digital copies of the comics on my pull list. My question is, does anyone have experience buying digital comics and if so, what is the best "comic" reader app/software (comixology, marvel unlimited. etc.) you have used?

My wishlist for my digital comics app would be to buy from multiple publishers (Marvel, DC, Image, Darkhorse, Valiant, etc.) and to be able to buy new digital issues at the same time they come out in the brick and mortar comic book stores.

Any thoughts, ideas, and/or suggestions would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Comixology is probably your best bet. They have the widest selection of publishers. Marvel Unlimited is great BUT it is about a 6+ month wait to get the stuff that came out this week (for example). However, there are thousands of issues in the library. I usually the the year long membership because it is much cheaper overall. Another alternative is moving to Trades an Hard Covers. I buy quite a few floppies per month but usually only read in trade/hc and digital form. The owner of the store that I buy from sold off most of his floppy collection and replaced it with trades. Now, granted, these take up a bit of room as well they will still take up less than floppies in the end.
