Steve Ditko helped create Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. Along with Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko was part of the Holy Trinity that made Marvel Comics a dominant force in the 60's.

Steve Ditko's death made the NBC national nightly news. For a guy that tried not to have a presence, that's a lot of presence.
