Looking for advice on the best method for selling a large (2,500+) Silver Age comic book collection. Most of the issues are Marvel and include key issues. Is there a way to sell the entire collection? Should I get certain issues graded? Thanks for your help!

There are three factors involved in selling any collection, time, money and effort.

You can get the most money by expending the most effort and time to list them on CPG or eBay.
You can use the least amount of time by selling them as one lot to a big-time buyer or store but you'll get less money.
You can list them on eBay as lots which means less time and effort but also less money than selling them individually.

So what do you have and what do you want? (time, money or effort)

Selling large amount of books is a difficult process. If you have no time limit on the sale of the books you can slowly piece it out via eBay, local shows, Facebook groups, etc. Keep in mind that shipping expenses and whatnot can start to mount too. Then you could also venture out to different stores and field offers. Keep in mind that stores are only going to offer 40-60% of market value so you need to find out know what your market values are. Prices can vary region to region. You also consign your books through stores (online or local) or through auction site like Heritage or ComicLink (there are others). You sill lose out with percentage takes.

As for grading, it is going to depend. High demand keys are usually worth grading but not necessarily in every grade so you have to do the research. any high grade book before '65 is probably worth getting graded as it will bring a good premium. Grading can get expensive though so you have to still do a bit of research to see if the return is worth the expense and time.
