Hi, I am new to using the site and had a question about prices. When I search for an individual comic, such as Incredible Hulk #181 (year:1974), the page comes up with prices for the 3 different grades. For example the price under the 8.0 grade column shows as $630 and the 6.0 column has a price of $140. However, when I click on “view all grades” the raw value of a 8.0 comic is $1,750. Are the columns on the initial search page for 9.4, 8.0, and 6.0 not meant to match exactly with the prices below them? That is, why is the price different for the same grade of the issue? The page might be just pulling the wrong price, since I do see the 6.0 raw grade is listed at $630? Thanks, Adam

There are thousands of books in the guide and it is completely impossible to stay "up-to-date" with all of them. It would have to be a big staff working 24/7 and they would have to be very well connected to get the best survey of pricing of various books from the different regions of the US and beyond. My guess is they have few people that mostly just monitor a few online sources and they make the changes they can when they can.
Remember this is a guide and not a pricing bible. What is enter here are just snapshots in time and can never substitute your own research and awareness of realized prices.
All that being said the quality of operations for CPG have dropped over the years ... at least going by complaints here and observed history.

Monthly pricing updates for multiple items, were the norm a couple years ago. Possibly they're of no interest to yourself, but I found them to be very helpful. Don't understand why a paying member can't ask why a service is virtually dropped, without being told that it's not meant to be one of the functions of this site?
I only come to the forums. I tried the cataloguing features but it wasn't for me. Honestly? I don't know why anyone would continue to use the site when there are other options out there that are cheaper. Should you be upset yes. Services have slipped. However, it still holds true that no matter what CPG does they will never be able to keep up with the changing market prices so the best they can do is just keep plugging away. People need to realize that no matter what guide they use the values are only a snapshot in time so for whatever reason they are using A guide they have to understand that they are going to have to do at least some footwork to figure out the current estimate values of their books. Values are a moving mark and can even move depending on where you are located in the world.
