Checking in with my year-end totals:
Comics 41,387
Value $301,662.48
I'm still irritated about some changes a few months ago that reduced the value of my collection by about $10,000. What stunned me most about it was that the comics of mine that went down were on the Value Changes list going up. My top keys aren't 9.4, and whoever made the changes also took the time to reduce the value of lower grades. I probably had 10 books on the list that day, and honestly expected a good bump. Imagine my surprise when I lost 10k instead.
I'll stick around next year unless somebody starts lowering values enough to affect my collection by that much again.

I keep trying to buy Fawcett and cannot get them but price list is still stationary
seems like only Marvel are moving and I know lots more are---but alas that is an old complaint of mine.

You know, when I look at the Top 3, I have to ask - where do you guys store all those comics.
That's 7-15 times as many long boxes as I have!
FYI - I have another collection of approx 1600 books that I have yet to add as I have not graded them yet.
Those will definitely get me to #3. However, I'm not sure when I will be able to get to them so your #3 spot is safe - for now ;-)

No --I am not referring to Superman--
He looked at my collection and said"-if you cannot find a comic in 30 seconds it does not exist"
I was hurt but vowed then to work so that the 30 second rule cd apply
I am not there yet but I am getting closer...
PS-years ago--we had the same rule if ice cream fell off the stick onto the ground but sadly that 30 second rule no longer applies
PSS-take your time-I will be here waiting patiently--....

Dear Biddle (*EEIG)
thank you for your concern on my health
I am hiding in the warm climate during a portion of the winter as the True North is quite chilly now
so I can walk and see the sun
As for the no comic numbers
I have been doing this for 12 years -going on 13
so way in the past people did not always put their comic size on the list-but being an Unpaid but hardy worker I still put them on but denied them a *

the * I added as some people I had not heard from for so long so when they write in I added a *
Just my silly way to encourage people to add their name to the list
Look-I know there are comic collectors out there with huge collections-I have met one or two myself
They wd top this list
But...............
I am a completist and want to encourage anyone and everyone to list here
so I started these wonky criteria to encourage them and you
In real life (there is such a thing) I have a day job that is totally different--
(unless my real boss finds out and fires me for spending so much time on this list)
so---
I am just trying to boost a hobby I love

PS-March 14th 2020 -my list will be 13 years old
first run-2007 was about $1MM
we are closing in on $15MM and 1mm comics

OK-this is not about the size of my collection
after searching for years I bought several Fortress Protectors
I had some but cd not find any more.
Looked everywhere
Finally bought in 2020---Use them for older poorer quality comics to display
Warning-not sure but be careful as they may form a bond with cover or hurt staples on comic
so use only on old classic stuff but poorer grade and do not tighten too much-let them breathe
but I needed some more screws-many were missing
found them after quite a search with Mark at A-- Hardware-in Aventura , Florida-
-looked several places
-he had them-
Use--6/32nds-1/2 inch-x on top screw-works fine-stainless steel
Again--do not jam in as will hurt container
really excited
