The majority of regular comic sized Gladstones will fit in a standard comic bag and board (I would go one back from most sizes listed as modern/current). Now, Gladstone also put out several larger format books that collected classic stories by Barks and company. Those would have to either get a magazine bag or possibly a treasury bag. Most stores also carry magazine bags and boards not all carry treasury bags and very few will have boards for treasury-sized bags though they do exist out there.

Not having the books you are talking about so can't know what size they are. But here is a site to order Mylar bags and backing boards from. Top of the line products, is the only place I buy from.
Take measurement of comics you own and look at the sizes listed on the link I gave you. There are a few sizes and and I buy Mylar2 bags in the STANDARD size which most comics fit in. Mylar is the "gold standard" of preserving your books.
Here is the link.
http://www.egerber.com/catalog.asp

Hello, inventive people who know more about preservation than I do.

My father had a large collection of Gladstone Comics that my family and I would like to preserve by bagging and boarding, but we've not the first clue where to begin. I was hoping one of the more avid collectors might have the proper measurements on hand, so we can spend our money only on the sizes that will be of use. I was told that the average Marvel size was not the right kind.

Many thanks,

Clint, Who is posting this in the "Open Discussion" section too just in case.
