CPG lists them with years too, so not sure what the problem is? The search results show years, Vol # and publisher. One thing that bugs me is when a title search that has many volumes doesn't come up in order of year published, oldest to newest, so you have to waste time scrolling to look for the right year.

Personally I find the using volumes as an outdated way of differentiating series. Mostly because there are so many titles with so many volumes. For example, Amazing Spider-Man. If we were going by volumes ASM would be on, what, volume 192? I think a more cohesive way of labeling titles would be with year the series started. As in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1984), (1993), (1996), (2001), (2011), and (2024).

Another point of contention with TMNT: I don't know what the official title of volume 4 is. Most of the covers show TMNT Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. If that is what the indicia says, I would say it should be volume 1 of a series (Unless there was a prior TMNT Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that I'm unaware of).
