I think Ron or someone said before that since the vast majority of members here are US based, and most of our comics are US made, CPG just prefers to use US prices and make sub-notations for British and other currencies. and it would be a lot of extra work to check currency prices from how many countries, figure the exchange rate for the 5 seconds it lasts, and get them entered. they have enough to do now, and there's still thousands of US comics with no cover prices entered now (I'm making a dent in them, bit by bit, year by year, when I find them off verify submissions etc), so the staff doesn't need that much more work.
So notating they're the X country price is fine as long as it's consistent, but it's hit and miss with many Aus comics (many have no prices listed, others have the cover price but under the regular Cover Price column, so it looks like it's a US price), and some members don't seem to get the message that those cover prices are not US prices and they keep submitting them and getting noped.
So some definitive answer about the Aus ones would be nice, and then I can bookmark the post and point the newbies and others to it.
edited by collectibleshop on 11/22/2023

so what's the official position on using or not using Australian cover prices in the guide? For instance, this series by Yaffa Publishing, https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/archies-adventures/pkxwny all have the cover prices listed, but those are Aussie prices, not equivalent to US prices. I see this on and off with Aus issues. While they do use 'c' and call it cents, it's not the same thing/value as US cents. with UK only editions of most US comics, they're usually noted as 'British pence price' as a sub-note and not priced with them, so it would be consistent if the Aussie reprints were like that too, no?
edited by collectibleshop on 11/22/2023
