Some comics were absorbed into collections and the owners aren't active in sharing images or evidence of what they own. I've been looking for a variant of a comic produced in 1999 for over 15 years. The publisher (Catfish Comics) assures me that it exists and I think it was Dynamic Forces that never sent him a copy. There are other comics that I've never seen online, but I was able to obtain copies from the publisher. I own a variant of Valeria the She-Bat (Continuity Comics) that a retailer acquired from Neal Adams at at Retailer Conference in Atlanta. It was 10 years before it was discovered that they were sold by one retailer in the Pacific Northwest. I thought some variants by Triumphant comics didn't exist, but they popped up from one seller on eBay 15 years later. I've also seen situations where a publishers assures people that something doesn't exist, but I own 2 copies. It works both ways. I've got some Charlton publications that have never surfaced online except for the fact I scanned them and put images online.
