I have found quite a few comics in the dollar bins that have been signed, sometimes with up to 3 signatures. They probably got them from someone that sold their collection to them and since not verified with a COA, they dumped them in there. Sometimes you get them in lots and bundles on Ebay or at the lcs. My biggest one I ever got was a Werewolf by Night #1 that was signed by Mike Ploog.

I bought the first 5 issues of Spitfire and the Troubleshooters out of a bin and found that the #4 was autographed by Todd McFarlane on the first page. Does anyone know what his autograph is worth? I heard he signed alot.

If you find a Charlemagne #4 (DEFIANT Comics) signed on the letters page by me... just know that a local comic shop requested that I sign it. They insisted.

That was the first comic to print a letter of mine. There are a couple of others that printed my letters, but I didn't sign any of those.
edited by Defiant1 on 1/29/2022

A few year's ago i bought the 6 issue lot of NM Star Wars Dark Lords of the Sith books from a lcs. Got home and only then realised they were all signed by the artist in gold ink.
I don't think they even knew about it as they weren't advised as such and were moderately priced.

When I have a few extra minutes, I like to dig though the dollar bins at my LCS.
Yesterday I found two signed books. I'm not familiar with the either the books or the signers, but it's always neat to find something like that, you know?
.
.
Alphabet Supes signed by Jim Krueger - Apparently I should know him. He's written for both major brands and a ton of other books.
According to Comicvine, he's written over 300 books.
His big runs appear to be the Marvel Earth-X, Universe-X and Paradise-X books.
https://comicvine.gamespot.com/jim-krueger/4040-41498/issues-cover/
.
The Imaginaries #2 (Titus variant) signed by Ben Avery - looks like his claim to fame is adapting George R. R. Martin's Hedge Knight to comic book form.
edited by glorkar on 10/7/2021
