CGC will not recognize a signature that they did not witness, and the writing on your book will actually cause the grade to either go down as a defect, or you'd get a green "qualified" label. Either can be a problem if what you want to do is sell.

As far as value goes, I usually estimate about a 10-20% increase in value for a signature.
