Honestly, this one turned out to be more complicated than I thought at first glance. I should have invested a little more time in looking at the the issues you were asking about before giving you what amounts to a hand slap.

Thanks for the help, just trying to figure it all out.
Just pulled the trigger finally to the gold membership and just finished putting in most of my collections, so if I don't have a few from my huge collection, I guess that will be ok.

crashpad1 wrote:

Unsure why the All New All Different doesn't count but all the other Marvel Handbooks and Who's Who are included?
And many other sketchbooks like Justice (DC) and House of M are included?

They've been known to change their requirements over time. There's lot of stuff like those 'info' issues that they USED to list, but no longer do for newer issues. I found some art portfolios from way back listed too, and those aren't comics, and there's a ton more of those since then, and they rightfully don't list them. Not sure why the others are listed to begin with either, they clearly say on the cover it's 'X number of plates of covers/art', so not comic book pinup issues like Marvel Swimsuit.

Sketchbooks can vary for why they include some and not others, so some admin will have to tell you why the Fear Itself isn't listed, but it's not worth anything, and publishers put out lots of these freebie pamphlet "comics" to promote them in shops, so CPG would have thousands to add if they listed them all. But you'll see promo/newsletter/reference type stuff from years ago listed (like Dark Horse Insider, 1983-94 Marvel Age In-House promo/Newszine, etc), but they stopped listing lots of that over the years, there's too much 'real' stuff coming out to worry about every single promotional or reference material item too.

The Kickstarter stuff can get added eventually, sometimes, but there's a ton more not listed than listed, and too many coming out constantly (that fail or sell very little) to bother with most. It takes valuable time to try to find sales figures and values for that stuff that could be used to get mainstream titles listed, so don't hold your breath on Kickstarter stuff.

now over to any admin that wants to chime in...
edited by collectibleshop on 7/28/2021

And it's not that CPG /doesn't/ list Kickstarter comics. It's just that they have such a limited print run with limited member ownership that they fall to the very bottom of the priority list. Or is my thinking wrong on that?
I'd be curious on the sketchbook ruling too. There are quite a few listed. Another good example is the Marvel Knights Sketchbook (https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/marvel-knights-sketchbook/1/phvpmr)

So here's what I found...
Marvel All-New, All-Different Universe #1. This is an info guide, not a comic or with comic book stories, so doesn't meet CPG requirements.
Albert the Alien stuff. Appears to be yet another self-published Kickstarter deal, which CPG doesn't usually list.
Fear Itself Sketchbook. Just a 16 page 'ad' giveaway with some story panels/preview, CPG doesn't usually list those.
As Wayne and Garth would say, "We're not worthy!"

3-D Cowboy's Cosmic Convict Challenge. "Produced exclusively for Challengers Comics and Conversation in Chicago for Free Comic Day." So hard for CPG to find out about every exclusive like this. So if you have a good scan or can find one, you can attach it on a post here, with all the publishing/creator info you know, and they'll list it eventually.

Avengers (Vol 8) #17 (C2E2 Variant cover) . They missed this, so use the "Report Missing Variant" function found in the listings for individual books. You must be logged in to do this. Attached below is a pic to use.

Navigate to the specific book that is missing a variant. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/avengers/17/pktwcsp in this case.

Select the 'Variants' tab found next to 'Values'.

You should see a red box titled "Report Missing Variants" on the right side below any listed variants.

Clicking the box will bring up a page where you can enter information specific to the variant you are reporting (not all is required). This includes what it's called, price, artist, publication date, etc. This makes it much faster for the admins to process the request.

See this post for how to check on variants you've submitted: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic15583-new-feature-related-to-variants.aspx

"Master's of the Universe Rise of the Snake-Men he-man.org variant," do same as Avengers #17, submit it under the Report Missing Variant tab. (no apostrophe in Masters) Note the "Variant cover art by Nathan Baertsch, limited to 500 numbered copies". https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/masters-of-the-universe-rise-of-the-snake-men/1/skrxmq . Pic attached at the bottom.

that'll be the usual tree-fiddy.
edited by collectibleshop on 7/28/2021
