The problem is some sellers just throw up their items and all are the generic 9.4 grade. Other sellers I have noticed actually try and put up grades. I'm pretty sure it was KDS that I was looking at this morning and all of their comics have some actual type of grades to them. It would be nice if other sellers did it like KDS. I feel much more comfortable placing an offer with a seller that actually tries to tell you the grade. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to buy everything I want at once LOL.

I don't expect a seller to get books graded to post I just think if they would at least place a grade on it as close as possible. But not trying to nail it down to a .2 of a difference either. I guess something like in the 9's or 4's but defiantly not having every single issue up for sell listed as a 9.4 that to me throws me off of buying a bulk lot. I don't want to have to ask for information for each book one at a time lol. Call me lazy. I don't sell comics but I'm guessing the site only let's the sellers only upload one image but it would be nice to have front and back like you said and make the seller place a rough grade on it that way no one can complain from either side.

Also since we're on the subject are we bidding on comics here or buying. I feel like I am bidding on a comic when I go to buy on here. The last offer I put in somehow on that exact same day another user placed a higher offer and the book was sold to them. I thought the price the seller had listed it for was the price it's for sale for but that's not really the case lol.

IMO, the best way for CPG to "solve" this is to require user photos for every item for sale. This would be best via a photo function added to the CPG app, since smartphones would give the user (via the app) direct access to the camera. Uploading photos from a desktop or laptop computer just puts more steps in the process.

This may not fully alleviate the problem, but it would be a start.

The next step could be to allow sellers to get a rating from the community. Attest to the completeness of the book, submit good photos of the cover and back cover, get it rated "third party, but not in-person" and then let that 3rd party grading be a very important part of the member ranking system. Let buyers complain about those ratings on the back end, let sellers choose not to accept ratings, but then not be able to list the book, either. Possibly let sellers request a 3rd party grader of a certain member ranking or higher, too.

All this said: it is a lot of work to develop all of that for CPG, and if it didn't increase the number of subscribers, there'd be little in it for CPG.

I was wondering if there is a rule on posting comics for sell and not giving an actual grade to them. I would like to buy multiple comics at once from a seller not just one at a time but the seller has everything listed as the generic 9.4. Now they do have pictures of each but a picture of the front cover isn't going to show the buyer an estimated grade of the book since one it's only a picture of the front and two if the book is still in a bag you may not be able to tell spine ticks. It's not an issue if you are buying just one book and you ask the seller for more pictures and information but as an example I started looking at Spawns that I am missing from my collection and I found a seller with multiple Spawns that I need. It would make it a little easier if I knew at least an estimate on the grade of books. I mean what if I offer the 9.4 FMV and the book is an 8 for every copy the seller has posted? I don't know how to fix this but when buying multiple books it would be nice to know the estimated grade so the buyer could quick offer a bunch of books instead of one by one asking for more information and pictures. I don't know why a seller would post something for sale and not put the correct grade to begin with either. It would also be nice if we could view a seller's list and mass select a group of books and submit an offer that way as well.
