It's an untrimmed early pressing of Prime #1 that was sold with a certificate from Malibu.
I think it's a valid collectible that should go for a high premium.

The guy who runs this blog is one of the foremost online experts in regard to Malibu. He goes by the name DePluto online.

https://cheepultraverse.wordpress.com/2011/04/30/prime-printers-proof/

there is no prototype of Prime #1, you're misreading the descrip. it's the 1st APPEARANCES of Prime and the character Prototype.
CPG may decide to list the proof, but I haven't noticed other listings for proofs, as most(?) comics have proofs that are sent to the publishers to check for correctness, so that would be a ton of books to list, although I'd think most proofs don't hit the market. ronbatman can give you the scoop on that decision.

'that' auction site has some, mycomicshop, multiple other selling venues. ridiculous prices being asked ($25-$199), no recent actual sales on that auction site though, at least for 'prime #1 printer's proof', should tell you something.

On one search, I did see one site selling it for $45. What I really wanted to know is if this was the same as the Prototype entry listed in the database or if this was a variant not yet listed in the database?
edited by Jarvrek on 10/6/2020

I have a Printers Proof copy of Ultraverses Prime #1. Is this considered a Prototype as listed in the database or is this another variant? If not, do Printers Proof copies have a different value than a regular copy? Does having the certificate change the value?
edited by Jarvrek on 10/5/2020
