<description><![CDATA[According to my research, Classics Illustrated books weren't called that until 3/1947.  Prior to 1947, they were called Classic Comics.  People on eBay constantly mislabel these books as Classic Illustrated but that was later.  Do a search for "Classic Comics" and I'm sure you will find what you're looking for if the book is actually from 1944 and not one of the many reprints.  <br/><br/>Always check the indicia which is the small text inside the front cover.<br/>Ron]]></description>
