I am all over this feature - I ;like to think I am partially responsible for recent "help Wanted" at CPG for admins - I'd reply more but am busy patting myself on the back!!!

I'm glad we can now submit price suggestion, but wondered why only the eBay ones I put in were being done so I checked a copied link from a ComicLink auction and you can't view the end price unless you log in. Not sure if ComicConnect has that as well, but it would explain a lot. Do the people checking our links take the time to log in? I've sent in well over 60 links for Canadian White auctions and if they don't get looked at with a month or two the information will disappear from the sites, which is another limitation.

Let me preface this by saying this is a new feature and we are still working through the details. We didn't know how this feature would be received. Sometimes we implement a feature and people kind of ignore it or don't use it much. Our character area on the details page is one of those features.

Currently, I'm the only person looking at these suggestions which isn't ideal since I have several other responsibilities. One other person has access but he is busy with a million other tasks. Two weeks ago the number of value submissions was about the same as it is today, so I'm keeping up with the new submissions. To give you some perspective, we have one member who has submitted over 150 suggestions. Yesterday, I jumped around a bit so that's how it happened.

Service level agreement - There isn't a service level agreement. We do not make any promises as to when a value submission will be reviewed. This is because we don't know how many submissions we will receive each day. Maybe later when we more fully understand how often people will use this, we can set a guideline in place.

Update denied or accepted - Unless I type out a response you will not know. Some members have received notes from me on this. Like "don't use another price guide for a value suggestion" or "that book was a one of a kind book signed by Bob Kane and not the typical value point". Some value suggestions only affect the graded books or the lower-grade raw books therefore they don't appear on the "recent value changes" page.

Allowing others to change the prices requires a tremendous amount of trust in that individual. We have a code of honesty and integrity that is required for this specific job. I am open to allowing our trusted admins the opportunity to change prices as well.

I hope that helped your understanding.

Hello Ron, I would like to understand the queue process and how updates are made. My sumptuous is that as updates are requested they go into a queue and an admin reviews and accepts/denies. I may be wrong but that is what I envision. I don’t know the number of updates received but let’s say they are substantial.

I sent a request today/yesterday that I see has been updated. How did this jump updates that I have been sending for the last couple of weeks that again are in some limbo area. How does that happen and where are the other updates.

What is the service level agreement to get updates made. As paying members can we expect a week..more than a week..less than a week.

If an update is accepted or denied how is a user to know? Are my submittals lost or will they be made one day? Do I need to submit? You indicate a red pending status on creator info maybe the same for prices.

If you need more admins I am 100 percent certain that we will help.

Not trying to be a pain just trying to understand the process.

I have added several suggested price updates with links to an actual sales number. Some have been worked and updated - so I Huzzah (A laural and hardy handshake!) for the ones that got worked! Did you include a reference to an actual sale? I think this is what they are looking for. Perhaps the admins could elaborate on the process. Don't like to speak for them - only saying what I have observed.

I have submitted numerous comic value updates in the last month and feel that my request goes into this limbo area. I understand that there is probably a long queue of items that need to be updated. However, what about allowing the community to update the prices similar to the help validate option? You submit a price and it requires 10 points to get added to the site. Or is it more complicated cause you have to figure all of the carious prices not just a NM version for example.
