Radiotto, I gave a box of about 300 older comics, mostly marvel tales, a few others from different publishers, etc, used, beat up, not worth anything really, to the Mercys Children Hospital in Wichita, KS, they go thru the books and separate them out by age group. The have to be careful because a lot of the books cant be givin to kids in say ICU, etc, due to the books not being clean. But it was a good feeling to donate them. Didn't get a dime, no receipt, gained not one Iota from them. And I am perfectly ok with that!

Ben

I LOVE this idea! Great topic ironbat. I totally have comics I can donate to my local children's hospital. I just need to make sure none of the "adult-themed" stuff goes there!

Hello, as far as documentation for tax purposes, I know for a fact Goodwill takes comics in for donation as I have bought a few from their online auction. Hope this helps.

Does anyone have any leads of where I can donate my comic book collection? Most are older comics that are "tossable", but maybe someone could still use them? I have about 1,000 comics to offload. I am not looking to just give them away, as I did pay a price for them, but if I can donate them and get something for them on a tax refund or other charitable cause I would appreciate the leads...
