Maybe my post should have read. Which publisher allows the most creativity? Creativity has a positive and negative because you're allowing more flexibility in what you publish. There is a potential risk and a potential reward involved. There is no implication that what is creative is necessarily good.

Looking back Marvel became a force in the early 60's because of creativity, new characters. I feel like Image is allowing creators the ability to make something awesome and only a few have. Kirkman is basically a factory of awesome. (IMO)

Image has long been my go to when I'm hankering for something a bit different, but that doesn't necessarily make them the "most creative". I think of Image more as the most willing of the big publishers to take a chance, either on giving a push to lesser known creators, or allowing well known creators to have a home for their personal projects. I've read a lot on mini-series over the years from Image that are brilliant but wouldn't have seen the light of day at DC or Marvel, but I've also read a fair share of titles from Image that end up being stinkers or just don't hold up over time because really at the end of the day they were not all that original after all.

I wouldn't give it to any one company. Marvel and DC can do some creating, creators have more freedom at Image to do what they want as the title are creator controlled but even that doesn't mean that they are more creative because there are lots of similar offerings from them. As well, when you talk Image it isn't exactly a publisher that takes any and all creators. There is pretty much good and bad from all and it is going to be a very subjective choice anyway.
