I had a non-delivery notice put through my door today which I hope is my new Tales of Suspense #49 reader copy. I have a totally trashed copy and a VF copy which I don't like to disturb too much, so I wanted something kind of in the middle in grade. Looked to be about VG/FN so we'll see tomorrow.

Iron Man #49 (Hard to find without printing defects in the red ink) VF £9

Iron Man #5 VF-
Editions Heritage Iron Man reprints (French Canadian) - 7 issues
and an Iron Man video released in 1981 with a battle with the Titanium Man, although this was a re-release of the Grantray 1960's MSH 'cartoon' (35 minutes)

Went to the Charlotte ComiCon yesterday. I cant remember all the things I bought but here are my highlights:
Finished the 25 holes in my Avengers v1 run. I got all of them from 200-299 with no holes. Most a dollar each, 200 was about $4
Bought about 20 x-men like 158 and the rest between 178-200 $2 each
X-Men 103 and 104 vf/vf+ $30 each
A couple of Thor's in the early 300-310 area.

I wemt to a yard sale yesterday and found Iron Man volI # 1-5 for 15.00 for the set. They were all strict F+ - VF.
Get this the guy said "I have em at that price cus they're old you know."
Woohoo, I now have some nice upgraded copies and I can sell my G/VG #1 and make back a couple of dollars.

| Friday, I had to go to Beaumont to pay some bills, so I figured I'd stopped at my lcs. I went in to get Superman/Batman # 11, they'd already sold the last copy the day before, so instead I picked up the following comic books instead Detective Comics 648 and 649. |

New city, new LCS. Picked up a couple things:

Batman: No Man's Land Ground Zero
Cinnamon: El Ciclo 1,2,4,5 (quarter each)
... it was filled with these hopeless little poems, looked like they came out of some computer programmed by a moron, these poems that trot down the page one word to a line and go something like, oh I don't know, you know what I mean, the sun is gold and your moonhair shines ... one word to a line, all small letters, really modern in nineteen twenty-five ...

Just bought my first Daredevils tonight at my LCS. Bought a nm 9.4 181, Death of Electra, and 184 the classic white cover. It is in about 9.2 shape. read the death of electra and can see the reason people fall in love with Frank Millers stuff! I am so pumped, the LCS had about 8 other DD's in the 180s that I had him hold for me till I get paid next week.
Also bought some Avengers in the 300's. Working on a run of them.

someone unloaded lots of Fantastic Four vol. 1 at the local Half Price Books. I picked up #'s 158, 159, 166, 167, 175, 183. So in there I got a couple issues featuring the Inhumans, a couple with the Hulk, one with Galactus and the High Evolutionary which I remember reading back in '76, and for #183, well "This one has it all!!"

i have very little space left and am trying to come to some new arrangement and so in the meantime i am trying to concentrate on 70s comics (and i have more of an idea of what i have where these are concerned)

I know what you mean Magik. I keep trying to concentrate on the 70's whist I re-organise my existing collection but MileHigh keeps having these great dollar sales with free shipping. It's so easy to get tempted to fill in gaps in your collection 100's at a time when it works out at about 50p per issue.

My LCS didn't get in their new issues shipment and won't have it in until next Tuesday (AAARRRGGGHHH!!!). So in the meantime I decided to do a little back issue shopping. Plus, I got in my Divine Right (Image) shipment from Mile High Comics today (Wooo Hooo!).

hi earl, yep funnily enough i have taken a recent spate of modern back issues buying after sorting out my DC's (spurred on by the 'who has the biggest DC collection thread)
pretty soon i will have a rough idea of what doubles i have and i am swapping a lot as i get through them
i am also filling in the 80s gaps as i get them as i never read teh full stories first time around when i was a kid
i recently put a big order in at mycomicshop.com
i will probably check out mile high as well, yeah
